Roots in Tuscany
My bond with Italy was first forged in childhood, during golden summers spent among my mother’s olive groves in Tuscany. Those long days beneath the Mediterranean sun were more than vacations; they were lessons in culture, family, and tradition. Meals were not just food but moments of connection—rituals of love handed down through generations.
Years later, when Freddie invited me to New York to meet his family, those same feelings stirred again. The Cipoletti household radiated warmth, especially during their Sunday suppers. Gathered around the table, with aromas of slow-simmered sauces filling the air, I felt the very essence of Italian hospitality. In Freddie, I had found a partner whose devotion to family and culture mirrored my own.
A Shared Journey Through Italy
Together, Freddie and I made countless trips back to Italy. Each journey deepened our love for the country’s culinary diversity—its olive oils, pastas, salts, and wines, each unique to the region they came from. We brought these treasures home to share with our loved ones, turning each discovery into a bridge between Italy and our family in the States.
It was during one of those trips that the spark for Cucina Cipoletti was born: why not create a way for others to experience this same joy, this same authenticity, right in their own kitchens?
